Transforming this childhood apartment in Clinton Hill into a more sophisticated one-bedroom home highlights the sentimentality that is central to HH Studio’s design ethos. The apartment itself is fairly pared back, so the design remains intentionally simple, allowing a backdrop of inherited and collected belongings to become the defining feature.

The focus was to open up the space, bringing in more light and allowing the apartment to feel more spacious and refined for a couple’s needs. This transformation marks a new chapter for the home, thoughtfully evolving it while honoring its past. Every item in the home tells a story, creating a meaningful thread that runs throughout.
